Music and Meditation in the Cave – Awakening in the arms of Mother Earth

Bliss Hippy is a Bluesy Folk and Americana duo based in Rolla, Missouri, formed by musicians Richard and Maureen Hall. The group combines their years of touring experience with themes of mindfulness and Buddhist teachings. They are two-time winners of the Great American Song Contest.Their work blends community, music, and spiritual practice in ways that promote inner transformation.
In this retreat they are offering an evening of song, and meditation in the arms of our beautiful planet, Gaia, designed to offer a path to inner peace in turbulent times.
Important Guest Information & What to Bring
Because this event is held deep inside a natural cave system, please review these guidelines carefully to ensure your comfort and safety:
- Bring Your Own Seating: The cave floor is hard, wet, and cold. Metal folding chairs are provided, but you are highly encouraged to bring a camp chair that you can easily carry.’
- Note: Floor cushions (zafus/zabutons) are not recommended due to dampness unless you bring a waterproof barrier to protect them.
- Dress Warmly & Layer Up: The cave is a damp 57°F (14°C) year-round with 98% humidity. We strongly recommend wearing comfortable layers, a jacket, a hat, gloves, and bringing a blanket for your lap.
- Wear Sturdy Footwear: Please wear good, sturdy walking shoes. The cave trails are occasionally hilly, wet, and can be slippery.
- The Walk In: The performance takes place in the Big Room, which is approximately an 8-minute walk from the Visitor Center entrance. Ushers will be available to assist guests into and out of the cave.
- Food & Drink: No food, drinks, snacks, or beverages are permitted inside the cave. However, light refreshments will be provided in the Visitor Center before the show, after the show, and during breaks.
- Restrooms: Restrooms are located inside the Visitor Center.

ABOUT THE BAND
Bliss Hippy
Bliss Hippy is Richard and Maureen Hall, a folk duo based in the Missouri Ozarks. They are two-time winners of the Great American Song Contest, and two-time finalists. Richard and Maureen have been sharing their music for more than 30 years, touring from coast to coast, and releasing a number of albums. Their songs range from the sublime to silly; profound to down right irreverent, and everything in between. Mostly original, mostly in tune, and always fun!
They have released multiple albums, including Deeper Bliss and Buddha Face.
