Many modern household electronics contain a variety of important reusable as well as toxic materials. Keep these materials from ending up in the landfill by recycling them! Recycling these materials also reduces the harmful impact of mineral resource extraction. A fee of $35 for old CRT/TV monitors and special disposals up to 35 lbs will apply.

Recycling and Re-purpose

St. Louis Van Go – St. Louis Teachers Recycle Centers

Great crafting fun for kids and the young-at-heart! Featuring: “The Great Green Re-Read Outside”
Book giveaway and bookmark making art project will be hosted by Mr. Jan DeYoung and Anne Marie Schweiss. The Van Go Van will be on site with many recycled items for kids to make crafts from. This is a nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping creative materials and reusable resources out of landfills and putting them in the hands of children, teachers, artists and others for creative and intellectual development.

BRING YOUR SMALL ELECTRONICS TO RECYCLE! A-1 Tech of Rolla will host a small electronics collection. Providing electronics recycling for computers, flat panel monitors/TVs, phones, DVD players, small appliances, and similar devices. ALL RECYCLING IS FREE, EXCEPT CRT/TV MONITORS (which cost $35 for up to 35 lbs + $1/lb after) and other special disposals.
Modern household electronics contain a variety of valuable as well as toxic materials. Keep these materials from ending up in the landfill by having them recycled. Mining of resources required to produce electronics also harms the environment so recycling existing products reduces that impact as well. Certain materials such as rare earth metals are also critical to national security, so recycling them is important.  Rare earth metals make modern devices such as flat panel TCVs, cell phones, laptops and other devices a reality and not science fiction! Do not throw it all away!

Rolla Recycling Center

Come see the giant recycle/trash cubes! Learn about local recycling and what is saved from the landfills!

Guests at the event are welcome to take home anything from the area that strikes their fancy FREE of charge. Donations to the Onondaga Friends Association are welcome but not necessary.
